About Us
The Wivenhoe Youth Choir was founded in 2022 to provide a high standard of musical tuition and experiences for children between the ages of 7 and 13. It is directed and conducted by professional musician Ben Vonberg-Clark, the resident conductor of the University of Essex Choir and the London Youth Choir. We seek to deliver an exciting and varied musical repertoire and a range of performance experiences throughout the academic year.
In June we sang with the London Youth Choir at Leadenhall Market in London.
It was such a fun day and it was great to sing with another youth choir.
Weekly rehearsals take place in the annexe of St Mary’s Church in Wivenhoe.
Rehearsals run from 4.45pm to 6.00pm each Thursday. Children can join the choir at any time during the year; if you wish to register your interest or book a place for your child, please contact Sarah at wivenhoeyouthchoir@gmail.com
